Welcome to the Communication Complexity Scale training site. This training will introduce you to the CCS, a new measure for assessing the communicative ability of individuals with severe intellectual and developmental disabilities, particularly the early communication skills of these individuals.
We are excited to have you learn how to administer and score the CCS assessment. In preparation for your in-person training we have created two online training sections for scoring the CCS and administering the CCS. First you will go through the 8 scoring training modules, then you will complete the two administration training modules. During the training you will learn

- How to identify each communication score
- How to score the CCS assessment
- How to administer the CCS assessment protocols
After you login, please look at our module tool bar to start your training. You will also notice a resource tab that will provide supplemental materials, like our scoring manual, video examples of communication acts, etc. that will help you through the training.
